A Novel Agent-Based Power Management Scheme for Smart Multiple-Microgrid Distribution Systems

In this work, a novel agent-based day-ahead power management scheme is proposed for multiple-microgrid distribution systems with the intent of reducing operational costs and improving system resilience. The sharing algorithm executes within each microgrid (MG) locally, neighboring MGs cooperate via multi-agent cooperation scheme, established to model communication among agents. agent modeled as multi-objective optimization problem (MOP) including two objectives: maximizing load coverage minimizing operating costs. MOP solved using Nondominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm (NSGA-II), where set Pareto optimal solutions obtained through NSGA-II. final solution an Analytical Hierarchical Process. effectiveness evaluated benchmark 4-MG system. It shown that agents lead higher overall resilience lower operation during extreme events.
